Description

For quantitative detection of human CHL1 in cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates, serum and plasma(heparin, EDTA).
Background: Neural cell adhesion molecule L1-like protein also known as close homolog of L1 (CHL1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CHL1 gene. This protein is a member of the L1 gene family of neural cell adhesion molecules. By FISH, the CHL1 gene was mapped to chromosome 3p26.1. The protein however has dynamic localisation, meaning that it has not only multiple roles in the cell, but also various locations. This protein may also play a role in the growth of certain cancers.
Principle: Human CHL1 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from Mouse specific for CHL1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: I25-Q1096) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for CHL1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substRate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human CHL1 amount of sample captured in plate
